Adopted by the good people from:
St. David’s Episcopal Church

Volunteer Curriculum Instructor  (VCI):  Patrick Cathcart

I’m Patrick Cathcart born in Lockport NY in 1946 on a cold October morning. I went to Lockport Senior High School followed by the University of Buffalo with a degree in Psychology. In 1973 I moved to Atlanta GA where I began my career in medical sales. I went back to school at Emory University and did post graduate studies in the field of Neurosurgery.

I’ve been married for 29 years and have three children and 7 grandchildren. I attend St. David’s Episcopal Church where I’ve directed the Brotherhood of St. Andrew in Bible studies, team lead and mentor at The Drake House and Homestretch, Path to Shine and now Toolbox.

I feel the Toolbox program teaches children how to follow written instructions and then apply that through teamwork and use of carpentry tools to build something they can call their own. This fosters a feeling of accomplishment and self-esteem.
